This house sits at the end of a two-mile private lake in Central Maine. It is a French County southern brick house. The homes all around it are typical Maine country farm houses, but I think it somehow fits in. The house is situated on a 45 degree angle and sits prominently on the site. All of the living is on the first level. There are 9' ceilings, so this makes the home feel much larger than it is. The second floor has 2 large bedrooms, a bath and a play/study area. The kitchen/family room area is the main living space with a large Connecticut dry-stack granite fireplace. I have been told that this floorplan layout is one of the most comfortable layouts I have designed so far.
